Wonder Women
Posted on June 21, 2020
Long long ago in a kingdom (as it were) far far away there lived an introverted dreamer who would spend hours alone in the land of make believe. She lived in her head concocting entire worlds, losing all track of time and the mundane goings on around her.
Her favourite super hero was Wonder Woman. So much so, that she jumped from the top of a staircase once (fortunately without injury) determined she could also fly.
As she grew older almost anything could inspire the magical scenarios that would come to life for hours on end. Then one day in the fourth grade she wrote a story, in pencil, about a princess, a dragon and an evil father, mounted it on red construction paper and managed to place first in the school writing contest.
After that, the path was clear and a spell was cast; a spell for the passion of words that would stay with her forever.
Her blog takes a look at the issues and events that have and continue to shape us, the ones from which we cannot magically escape, and pays tribute to all the wonder women who have inspired her (and many of us) along the way.
