Waiting in the Wings

It was a monumental surprise not only to be reviewed by Publishers Weekly, commonly referred to as the “bible of the book industry” but to receive a tremendously positive review at that.
I could not be more proud of my co- author, proud of us both; but especially her. To be recommended to fans of Michael Crichton, a prolific writer whose books spawned numerous film adaptations is beyond belief. He undoubtedly garnered a number of influences from his time training to be a physician, something I can definitely relate to. He wrote 18 novels, most of them best-sellers with more than a dozen of them making it to the big screen.
“Michael’s talent out scaled even his own dinosaurs of Jurassic Park. He was the greatest at blending science with big theatrical concepts, which is what gave credibility to dinosaurs again walking the Earth…Michael was a gentle soul who reserved his flamboyant side for his novels. There is no one in the wings that will ever take his place.” – Steven Spielberg

–What an amazing accomplishment!
The most unique observation to me personally is how a married couple can alternate between the thread plots easily! I would love to hear more about those conversations!
I think as readers we get the bonus of having two minds for the price of one…most likely it’s the magic ingredient to perfecting such a creative and thrilling novel.
Well done Cooks! I can’t wait for the second book!

–Congratulations to you both on being on the receiving end of some very high, very well deserved praise! As I read the book, I too am struck by the successful scene setting, and just how captivating the storyline is. This could only be made possible by how steeped you are in your respective trades, and also by your gifts for beautiful writing. Bravo! And from another rapt reader—thank you!
