Percivious Origins selected as finalist for the 2022 Canadian Book Club Awards

Posted on September 22, 2022

CANADA – The Canadian Book Club Awards has announced the 2022 finalists after a record- breaking year for the Canada-based literary award. Winners for Canada’s largest readers’ choice award will be released in December 2022.

With a record-breaking number of book entries and readers who registered to judge the 2022 book awards, The Canadian Book Club Awards (CBCA) has become the largest reader’s choice award in Canada. Doubling the number of genres from the 2021 awards and tripling the number of submissions received in years prior – The Canadian Book Club Awards have opened the industry’s reader’s choice doors wider than ever before.

“With a record number of entries from both trade publishers and independent authors, this year’s awards are a bold reflection of readers’ appetites to have more inclusivity in the publishing world. In this era of publishing, who publishes a book has a lot less to do with how great a book is,” shares CBCA Program Director, Kristain Oliveria-Barnes.

“This is the type of hockey stick growth we just don’t see in the publishing industry anymore. It’s very exciting to be part of something that is being received so enthusiastically,” says Megan Williams, CEO of CBCA’s title sponsor, The Self Publishing Agency Inc.
